Agadir- Souk al Had
The souk is quite close to the centre, walking around is easy enough although as time is limited, get a cab.You do not need a guide in there even though it is quite big.Gate 10 is a good entrance to head for if you are after some leather ware, the lower gate numbers bring you in by the fruit and veg.Haggle hard if you intend to buy; boxes made of thuja wood are very aromatic, pretty and quite inexpensive.A visit up to the kasbah would be a nice trip for panoramic views of Agadir and Atlantic Ocean.
The soul is a good 20 + mins walk from the "centre of town- get a petit taxi and get dropped off their Souk Al Had. Ask for it by name as some taxi drivers have been town to take tourists to their own personal souk. THe real souk is recogniseable as it has an ochre wall all the way around it and the gates are all numbered with 8-10 probably the best entry points for tourists. You can t really get lost to exit just keep going til you get to the wall and followit roubd til you get to one of the exit gates. Have fun and barter hard!!
perhaps crucial - the souk has to my knowledge always been closed on Mondays; someone please verify this is still so as it's a few months since I've been there. No point being disappointed if you happen to arrive on a Monday and head for the souk to find it closed.
If you are arriving on a Monday then an alternative plan would be to visit the lovely Medina d'Agadir - a recreation of the original medina destroyed in an earthquake in 1960, you could also go uoto the kasbah as suggested both in the time you have free.
